Santa Clara VTA / Levi Stadium S.F.
August 2014 - LNI Custom Manufacturing, Inc. proudly announces the project completion of fabricating two separate fifty-four foot canopies for the Santa Clara VTA to be used at the base of the new Levi’s stadium. Levi’s stadium is expected to become the new home for the San Francisco 49ers by the beginning of the 2014 NFL season. Each canopy was manufactured in one single piece before we shipped them to GraniteRock construction for the final installation.
Scott Blakely, LNI’s founder and CEO, noted that one of LNI’s strengths is “having the ability to manufacture products that are fairly complex involving several trades such as structural work, glazing, illumination and painting. These canopies also have security cameras and data connections. We take all these trades and design them together so we are a single source solution to contractors and transit agencies.”
Bear Proof Trash Receptacles / United States Forest Service
August 2014 - LNI has completed their recent project, fabricating twenty-five bear proof trash receptacles for the United States Forest Service. The most important requirement for the United States Forest Service was that the receptacles were engineered to be able to keep out a very determined 800-pound bear.
When asked about the project, LNI’s Head Project Manager Steve Simons stated that the receptacles “were not merely powder coated, which is the industry standard. We went over and above providing a PPG paint system to prevent rusting and corrosion. Also, these receptacles are built strong enough to withstand the force of any determined wild animal.”
Tatum Construction / Beverly Hills
May 2014 - LNI Custom Manufacturing Inc. proudly announces the completion of two architectural rooftop canopies atop The Gores Group building located in Beverly Hills next to Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevard. The project would not have been possible without the in house capability of the Flow Water Jet Mach 4 AF. A total of 670 individual 1/8th inch decorative aluminum panels were cut over the course of 3000+ hours. The machine ran twenty-four hours a day - seven days a week and finished the project on schedule.
Together, the manufacturing and installation took place over an 8-month period and required a 95 ton hydraulic crane to put into place on the roof of the four story building. LNI was under contract with Tatum Construction for The Gores Group.

RTC / Las Vegas
September 2013 - LNI Custom Manufacturing, Inc. has completed its portion of the Boulder Highway BRT line in Las Vegas, Nevada. LNI fabricated 23 transit station canopies that are 32’ long and house amenities such as protection from the sun, generous lighting, level platform boarding, ticket vending machines, and displays announcing the next vehicle’s arrival.
Boulder Highway features dedicated curbside lanes from downtown Las Vegas to Tropicana Avenue and continue to Horizon Drive in mixed-flow traffic. The new rapid transit stations provide a comfortable and attractive place for riders to wait.
